Microsoft Launches AI-Driven Cybersecurity Platform with Key Israeli Development Role
Microsoft announced Project Perception, a new cybersecurity platform that uses autonomous artificial intelligence agents to enhance organizational defense. Alongside this, the company introduced MAI Cyber 1 Flash, its first AI model dedicated specifically to cybersecurity tasks. This initiative responds to the increasing use of AI by attackers to rapidly and extensively develop cyberattacks.

A significant portion of the platform's capabilities originated from the Israeli R&D center, marking a strategic milestone for Microsoft.
This move positions Microsoft to compete with leading cybersecurity platform providers like Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, and Cisco, who are also investing in AI-driven security solutions. Microsoft emphasizes that its approach is not merely adding AI to existing products but creating a comprehensive platform centered on AI agents.
