Democratic Party Leader Yaya Pink Donates 250,000 Shekels to Ally’s NGO Before Primaries

Yaya Pink, a senior figure in the Democratic Party and a major winner in the party’s recent primaries, transferred 250,000 shekels from the Histadrut to the NGO 'Derekhim U'Ma'asolim,' led by his close associate Avishai Ben Aharon. Ben Aharon is not only a senior party official but also heads the Talmei Circle, a bloc that voted unanimously for Pink in the primaries. The donation was made several months before the Democratic Party primaries, specifically for a seminar organized by the Histadrut.

This financial support has raised concerns about the misuse of Pink’s official position and resources. As a result, the right-wing organization Im Tirtzu filed a police complaint against Pink, alleging illegal exploitation of his role and status. The complaint calls for an investigation into the funding transfers involving Pink and the NGOs linked to him.

The revelations come amid broader scrutiny of political financing within the Democratic Party and the Histadrut, highlighting potential conflicts of interest and ethical questions regarding the use of public or organizational funds for political advantage.
