Israeli Security Releases 60 Gaza Detainees Back to Gaza Strip
In the aftermath of the deadly terror attack on October 7, the Israeli security apparatus has released 60 detainees from Gaza, returning them directly to the Gaza Strip. This marks the largest release of Gaza detainees in recent times. The detainees were held in facilities including Ofer Prison and the detention center in the Negev (Sde Teyman). They were transported through the Kerem Shalom crossing. Red Cross personnel accompanied the detainees closely to ensure their comfort and safety until they reached the hospital in Deir al-Balah. This move comes despite ongoing tensions and security concerns following the recent attacks.
