Zelensky Warns Iran Has Already Attacked Ukraine by Supplying Russia with Weapons

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed concerns about a potential Iranian attack on Ukraine following an incident involving an Iranian ship targeted by Ukraine in the Caspian Sea. In an interview with Sky News on Sunday, Zelensky stated that Iran has already attacked Ukraine by supplying weapons to Russia, emphasizing the need for caution to avoid opening a new front in the conflict. He said, "We must be careful. We must do everything not to open a new front in any way. But we must be honest: Iranians and North Korea have already attacked us." Zelensky expressed hope that Iran would not escalate attacks further but stressed that Ukraine must be prepared for any scenario, noting that Iran provided weapons without any provocation from Ukraine.

The comments came after Ukraine struck an Iranian vessel, prompting Tehran to vow retaliation. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused Ukraine of acting on behalf of Israel and warned that Iran would respond to the incident. Zelensky also revealed earlier intelligence cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, with Russian satellite images reportedly reaching Iran before strikes in the Gulf region. This development highlights the growing complexity of the conflict and the involvement of additional regional actors.
