Israel Fears US Has Depleted Most of Its Interceptor Missile Stockpile Amid Iran Tensions

Following reports from the United States that President Donald Trump decided to freeze plans for a significant escalation against Iran after consultations with senior administration and military officials, concerns have emerged in Israel about the depletion of Washington's interceptor missile reserves. According to Israeli sources, the US Patriot missile system retains approximately 1,200 interceptors, representing 51% of its stockpile. The THAAD system holds about 240 missiles (66%), while the naval SM missile inventory has dwindled to around 80 missiles, or 20% of its capacity.

Israeli defense officials estimate that about 24% of Iranian missiles fired at Israel have been intercepted by American systems. In response, Israel has reportedly tripled production of its own "Arrow 3" interceptor missiles, although no official statement has been made regarding the status of Israel's local missile inventory.

Reports from The New York Times and CNN indicate that Vice President J. D. Vance and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Cane expressed concerns during discussions about escalating attacks. Meanwhile, Iran's Revolutionary Guards issued a stern warning, threatening that any country supporting the US in a war would become a legitimate target, explicitly naming Britain, Gulf states, and others.
