Itamar Fleishman Condemns Israeli Left as Most Antisemitic Following Gilad Farm Attack
During a broadcast on Channel 14's program The Patriots, panelist Itamar Fleishman sharply criticized the Israeli left and media responses to a recent attack near Gilad Farm. Fleishman accused the left of promoting antisemitic thinking by blaming Jewish victims for simply going on a hike, calling this a "murderous culture" that views Jews as legitimate targets. He stated, "There is no greater antisemite than the crazy left in Israel," adding that when left-wing Jews die, they say "they deserved it." Fleishman emphasized that this form of antisemitism, which justifies killing Jews for hiking, is unique to Israel and does not exist elsewhere in the Western world.
Fleishman also criticized the Israel Defense Forces, claiming the military suffers from the same problem. He recounted a military exercise at Gilad Farm six months after the October attack, simulating an infiltration by Palestinians who killed a baby. In the drill, some participants wore vests labeled "enemy" and were dressed as settlers, which Fleishman said demonstrated the army's failure to properly identify its enemies. He concluded that the IDF "needs to start recognizing its enemy correctly."
