Itamar Fleishman Condemns Rising Anti-Haredi Incitement as Dangerous and Comparable to Historic Anti-Semitism

During a broadcast of Channel 14's program The Patriots, panelist Itamar Fleishman sharply criticized a viral video showing blatant hostility toward Haredi Jews. Fleishman expressed deep shock at the footage and the fact that the person who filmed it posted it online, describing the act as dangerous incitement reminiscent of dark periods in Jewish history. He compared the portrayal of Haredim in the video to Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda, stating that the Haredim were depicted as "not human" and "parasites." Fleishman warned that society was only a step away from openly hateful stereotypes such as "you have a long nose," highlighting a disturbing rise in anti-Semitism from within the Jewish community itself.

Fleishman linked this phenomenon to statements by public figures, specifically blaming Yair Golan for fostering such attitudes. He also referenced Inbar Toizer from Channel 12 News, who filmed herself opposing a Haredi individual, calling the situation a remarkable and troubling process. He criticized the silence of the Israeli president on this issue, emphasizing that such incidents occur daily without official response.

Another panelist supported Fleishman's remarks, sharing that he regularly receives messages on Telegram from Haredim reporting physical assaults and spitting incidents in the streets. He quoted Nadav Perry, who suggested that Haredim "bring it upon themselves," a claim Fleishman vehemently rejected as irrational. The discussion underscored growing concerns about escalating anti-Haredi sentiment and the urgent need for public and official acknowledgment and intervention.
