Jewish Congress President Meets Iranian Crown Prince, Presents Mezuzahs for Future Embassies

Silvan Adams, President of the World Jewish Congress in Israel, met with Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi in Paris on Sunday to discuss their shared vision for a free and democratic Iran and the renewal of relations between the Iranian and Jewish peoples. They reflected on the historical ties between their nations and the support of Jewish communities worldwide for the Iranian people's struggle for freedom. Adams expressed hope for the imminent liberation of Iran, stating, "I believe this will happen very soon," and affirmed Jewish support for Pahlavi's vision of a pluralistic and democratic Iran.

Pahlavi highlighted the ancient biblical connection between Iran and Israel, noting that both countries are unique in this regard. He thanked Jews and Israelis worldwide for their support in Iran's fight for freedom and honored recent Iranian victims who died for liberty, not geopolitical interests. He expressed optimism that once the current regime and its threats vanish, Iran can be rebuilt with international assistance.

The two discussed restoring full diplomatic relations between Israel and a free Iran. Pahlavi invited Adams to Tehran to explore suitable locations for future embassies. Adams, a real estate professional, intends to visit Tehran soon to find a property for Israel's future embassy. As a symbolic gesture, Adams presented two mezuzahs made from Jerusalem stone, with scrolls written by an Israeli scribe of Iranian descent: one for the prospective Israeli embassy in Tehran and the other for the future Iranian embassy in Jerusalem.
