Woman Critically Injured After Car Overturns from Ayalon Bridge Near HaShalom Interchange
A woman in her 50s was seriously injured after her car overturned from a bridge on the Ayalon Highway near the HaShalom Interchange. Paramedics and rescue teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) extricated her from the vehicle, provided on-site medical treatment, and transported her to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. MDA paramedics Elhanan Alon, Moti Baer, and Yoni Friedman reported that upon arrival they found the overturned car with the woman inside, conscious but with a severe head injury. They performed a complex rescue involving immobilization before evacuating her in critical condition.
In a separate incident overnight between Monday and Tuesday, 17-year-old Salim Sharif from Reineh in the Galilee was killed in a collision involving a truck and two vehicles on Highway 6 near the Kiryat Gat Interchange. The day before, a 19-year-old man died in a traffic accident on Highway 20 near the Glilot Interchange. On the same day, a pedestrian in his 40s was fatally struck by a vehicle on Highway 25 near the President Interchange in the Negev.
