A female driver was seriously injured Saturday morning after her car fell from the Peace Bridge in Tel Aviv. Video footage from the incident shows the vehicle speeding toward the interchange, nearly hitting pedestrians before plunging off the bridge. The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Magen David Adom (MDA) received the emergency call at 06:31 from the Dan district dispatch center reporting a vehicle overturned after falling from a bridge near the Peace Interchange. Paramedic Elhanan Alon and emergency medical technicians Moti Baer and Yoni Friedman arrived at the scene to find the car upside down with a woman in her 50s inside. She was semi-conscious and suffered a severe head injury.
The rescue team performed a complex extraction involving immobilization and medical treatment on site before evacuating her by MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital. Her condition was described as serious.
