Google states the video is encrypted and stored securely in the cloud, used solely for identity verification, and can be deleted anytime via account settings. This method serves as an alternative when passwords or authentication apps are unavailable, adding an extra security layer. The rollout is gradual worldwide, and currently, the feature is not yet accessible to all users, including those in Israel.
