Democrats Party Calls Members to Launch Yair Golan's Election Campaign at Rabin Square

The Israeli Democrats party has called on its members and supporters to gather at Tel Aviv's Rabin Square on Saturday night to officially launch the election campaign of party leader Yair Golan and the list chosen in this week's primaries. The party described the event as the "first show of strength" ahead of the upcoming elections, aiming to demonstrate their public support.

In a statement, the Democrats highlighted that over 114,000 Israelis have joined the party and participated in what they called the largest primaries in Israel's history, selecting a strong, diverse, and combative team. The party urged attendees to rally under the message: "We are fighting for Israel, for democracy, for the next government, and for the country's future."

Earlier this week, the Democrats held digital primaries with over 86% voter turnout among eligible members. Yair Golan leads the list, followed by Naama Lazimi, Gilad Kariv, and Efrat Rayten. Other candidates include Yaya Pink, Gabi Leski, Omri Ronen, Michal Rozin, and Moshe Redman. The party reported closing its voter registry with more than 112,000 members, marking a record for the party and one of the largest membership rolls among Israeli parties in recent years.

This event marks the official start of the Democrats' election campaign as they prepare for the upcoming Knesset elections.
