Road Fatalities Rise in June 2026 Despite Fewer Accidents in Israel

In June 2026, Israel recorded 38 road fatalities, marking an increase from 30 deaths in June 2025, according to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics. This rise in deaths occurred despite a decrease in the total number of road accidents and injuries compared to the previous year. During June 2026, there were 496 traffic accidents involving injuries, resulting in 848 people hurt across the country. Since the beginning of 2026, a total of 216 people have died in road accidents, which is slightly lower than the 223 fatalities recorded during the same period in 2025.
