Manor Solomon, who recently made a notable comeback for Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season match against MK Dons, remains outside the club's future plans despite his strong performance. However, Fiorentina, where Solomon was loaned last season, is interested in acquiring him permanently and is employing a strategic delay during the current transfer window. According to reports from Italy, Fiorentina aims to pressure Tottenham into reducing the transfer fee, as the Serie A club's option to buy Solomon for 10 million euros expired at the end of May. They hope to negotiate a lower price in the single-digit millions.

Fiorentina's tactic is part of a broader summer strategy not limited to Solomon's case. Additionally, Solomon's possession of a Portuguese passport is advantageous for the Italian club, as Serie A rules allow teams to register only two new non-European players per season. His European citizenship means he would not count against this quota, potentially facilitating his registration.
