Former Israeli Intelligence Chief Predicts Imminent US Strike on Iranian Nuclear Sites
Former commander of Israel's Unit 8200, Brigadier General (res.) Hanan Gefen, has indicated that the United States is preparing to attack Iranian nuclear facilities within days. In an interview with Ido Tauber, Gefen highlighted a significant escalation in American actions against Iran's nuclear program, noting that in the past 24 hours there has been a marked intensification in the enforcement of conflict boundaries. He cited US President Donald Trump's recent statements, including a pointed warning that "the Iranians have not seen anything yet," and identified the Fordow nuclear facility as a likely target.
Gefen explained that Trump has explicitly focused on the nuclear issue, which has caused considerable concern among Iranian officials. According to Gefen, Iran has responded unusually strongly, threatening to strike all American interests in the region. He emphasized that Iran is taking threats against its nuclear sites far more seriously than threats related to the Strait of Hormuz.
The former intelligence chief also noted the effectiveness of American missile defense systems, referencing successful interceptions in Jordan and Aqaba. Gefen concluded that the situation is rapidly evolving and suggested that a US military operation against Iran's nuclear infrastructure could occur within a matter of days.
