Hapoel HaEmek Signs Cuban Forward Karl Guzman for Upcoming Season
Hapoel HaEmek has announced the signing of Cuban forward Karl Guzman ahead of the new basketball season. Guzman, who previously played against Hapoel Jerusalem last season, joins the team following the recent acquisition of CJ Albi. Between 2015 and 2020, Guzman played for teams in Cuba and Argentina before spending the past six seasons with Cluj-Napoca in Romania. During his time there, he faced Hapoel Jerusalem twice, scoring 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist in the first game, but failing to score in 12 minutes in the second. Last season, Guzman averaged 9.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in the EuroCup, bringing valuable experience to Hapoel HaEmek's roster as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
