Morocco to Host First Training for Multinational Force Planned for Gaza Strip

The initial training exercise for the multinational force designated to operate in the Gaza Strip will take place in Morocco in the coming weeks, according to an announcement by Kan News on Tuesday. This development is part of the peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. Morocco joined the force only last week but is set to play a significant role, with Israeli security agencies supporting its involvement. Moroccan forces will be responsible for training thousands of soldiers slated to serve in Gaza.

Recently, representatives from the U.S. command center in Kiryat Gat arrived in Rabat to coordinate the first establishment training alongside Moroccan military officials. The training will include live-fire exercises, physical fitness, and other preparatory activities. Peace council sources told Kan News that Morocco is preparing to send approximately 500 troops to Gaza.

So far, four countries have agreed to contribute troops to the Gaza force: Morocco, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, and Albania. Indonesia, which previously announced plans to send around 800 soldiers, has yet to join the multinational force or submit a request to the command center in Kiryat Gat. The foreign troops will initially operate in areas under Israeli control and will secure the planned "New Rafah" city, which the United Arab Emirates intends to build and designate as "Hamas-free."

Despite technical progress, no official date has been set for the deployment of foreign soldiers to Gaza, with expectations pointing to early next year.
