Elbit Systems and Others Lead Israel's Defense Industry in New Duns 100 Ranking

For the first time, Duns 100, part of Dun & Bradstreet, has published a comprehensive ranking of Israel's defense industry, highlighting 60 companies across six key categories. Leading the sectors are Elbit Systems, Plasan Sasa, Aeronautics, Magal, Cellebrite, and IWI, representing integrators, manufacturing, unmanned systems, homeland security, intelligence and cyber, and tactical equipment respectively. The ranking aims to showcase the broad ecosystem of Israel's defense-tech industry beyond the traditional major players.

Shila Zabar Weiss, Senior Director at Duns 100, explained that the ranking reflects a fundamental shift in the industry from pure manufacturing to a defense-tech ecosystem integrating industrial capabilities with software, data, AI, autonomy, sensors, and operational relevance. The methodology combines quantitative data and qualitative analysis, evaluating business strength, growth, technological innovation, international activity, supply chain position, and operational relevance.

The report reveals that 38% of the ranked companies focus on defense manufacturing, while 32% operate in unmanned and autonomous systems, together comprising about 70% of the industry and underscoring the fusion of advanced manufacturing with next-generation technologies. Order backlog was also assessed to indicate future demand, with some companies exporting up to 90% of their sales, highlighting Israel's growing global defense market presence.

Additionally, Duns 100 recognized five emerging industry leaders, Aero Sentinel, AIR VEV, Axon Vision, Kela AI, and XTEND, selected for their technological innovation, operational relevance, business momentum, and potential impact on the industry's future. These firms specialize in unmanned systems, autonomy, robotics, operational AI, advanced sensing, and tactical logistics, marking the next generation of Israeli defense technology companies.
