Elbit Systems and Others Lead Israel's Defense Industry in New Duns 100 Ranking

For the first time, Duns 100, a division of Dun & Bradstreet, has published a comprehensive ranking of Israel's defense industry, highlighting 60 companies across six key categories. Leading the sectors are Elbit Systems, Plasan Sasa, Aeronautics, Magal, Cellebrite, and IWI, each dominating one of the categories: security integrators, defense manufacturing, unmanned and autonomous systems, homeland security, intelligence, cyber and deep tech, and tactical and land equipment.

The ranking reflects a shift in the defense sector's landscape, emphasizing a broad Defense-Tech ecosystem that integrates industrial capabilities with software, data, artificial intelligence, autonomy, sensors, and operational relevance. Shila Zbarro Weiss, Senior Director at Duns 100, explained that the ranking not only identifies active companies but also signals the evolving direction of Israel's defense industry.

The methodology combines quantitative data and qualitative analysis, assessing business strength, growth rate, technological innovation, international market presence, position in the defense value chain, and operational relevance. Notably, 38% of the ranked companies focus on defense manufacturing, while 32% specialize in unmanned and autonomous systems, underscoring the importance of advanced industry and next-generation technologies.

Order backlog was also evaluated to indicate future demand and ongoing contracts, with some companies exporting up to 90% of their sales, highlighting Israel's growing global defense market influence. Additionally, five companies, Aero Sentinel, AIR VEV, Axon Vision, Kela AI, and XTEND, were recognized as Emerging Industry Leaders for their innovation, operational relevance, business momentum, and potential impact on the sector's future. These firms operate in areas such as unmanned systems, autonomy, robotics, operational AI, advanced sensing, and tactical logistics.
