Pollster Momo Filber Predicts Right-Wing Bloc Could Win Up to 70 Seats in Upcoming Israeli Elections

Senior pollster and strategist Momo Filber has presented an optimistic forecast for the right-wing bloc ahead of the upcoming Israeli elections. In an interview on the 'Petchi Vezimri Ba'am' program on Galei Yisrael radio, Filber stated that after extensive analysis of all available models and data, he expects the right-wing bloc to secure at least 61 seats in the Knesset. He emphasized the thoroughness of his work, saying he spent countless hours reviewing data and seeking errors but found none that would alter his conclusion.

Filber also outlined a more surprising scenario in which the right-wing bloc could reach between 67 and 70 seats if a new secular right-center party joins the coalition. He identified a key voter segment of four to eight seats who support Netanyahu as prime minister but are seeking an alternative political home, calling this group a "game changer" for the election outcome.

Regarding the recent primaries of the 'Democrats' party, Filber dismissed their results as disappointing despite significant investment and activism over the past three years. He criticized the protest movement associated with the party, noting that many elected members were active participants in it, which he believes contributed to the poor showing.

Filber questioned the value of the large resources spent by the opposition camp, predicting that Gadi Eizenkot's 'Yashar!' party would receive around 20 seats and the Democrats about 10, suggesting the investment may not have been worthwhile. Recent polls show 'Yashar!' at 24 seats, Likud at 23, Democrats at 11, and the ultra-Orthodox parties Shas and United Torah Judaism each at 8 seats. Filber's forecast contrasts with other recent polls that depict a more complex electoral landscape but he remains confident in a clear trend favoring the right-wing bloc.
