Israel Reveals Iran’s Secret Mountain Nuclear Site Amid US Strike Plans

Israeli intelligence has uncovered that Iran has relocated thousands of uranium-enriching centrifuges into tunnels carved deep beneath Mount Kolang, near the Natanz nuclear facility. This underground complex, known in Iran as Mount Picaques, is believed to be a key asset for Iran’s nuclear program recovery efforts following the June 2022 conflict in which Israel and the US targeted Iran’s main nuclear sites.

The centrifuges were moved last fall, and the site is heavily monitored by Israeli and American intelligence. It lies approximately 90 to 140 meters underground and includes multiple nuclear-related facilities. While the transfer of centrifuges does not confirm active uranium enrichment there, it raises concerns that Iran could establish a covert enrichment site shielded from international inspectors. Iran has denied the International Atomic Energy Agency access and withheld information about activities at the site.

Amid this revelation, US officials told Fox News that President Donald Trump is expected to decide soon whether to escalate military operations against Iran. So far, US strikes have targeted Iranian military assets in the Strait of Hormuz area, avoiding Tehran and nuclear facilities. However, if a broader campaign is authorized, it would be far more intense and extensive. The US Central Command is preparing to deploy additional F-16 and F-35 fighter jets and KC-135 refueling aircraft to the region to enable rapid expansion of airstrikes.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly urging Trump to renew wide-ranging attacks to further delay Iran’s nuclear weapons development. Trump himself recently indicated Mount Picaques as a potential strike target, warning it could receive a "big hit." This military buildup and intelligence sharing underscore heightened tensions as the US and Israel consider more aggressive measures to counter Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
