Beni Sarur Joins Nes Ziona as Team Strengthens Ahead of New Season
Nes Ziona basketball club continues to bolster its roster for the upcoming season by signing center Beni Sarur. Sarur, who recently made his debut for the Israeli national team, agreed to terms with the club, with the official signing expected soon. Previously, Sarur played for Elitzur Netanya last season after recovering from a significant knee injury and has also been part of Hapoel Gilboa Galil and Maccabi Ramat Gan. At Nes Ziona, he aims to become a key part of coach Paul Corsaro's rotation.
Sarur's national team debut came amid multiple absences in the squad, where he played four minutes against Germany and one minute against Croatia, marking an important milestone despite not scoring. Nes Ziona's summer recruitment drive has been active, having already signed Paris Lee, Noam Dovrat, Jacob Wiley, Adam Ariel, and Vincent Amsalem, while extending Jackson Rowe's contract. Sarur's addition is part of the club's ongoing efforts to strengthen its lineup ahead of the new season in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
