The post, shared by an account with over 360,000 followers, sparked widespread criticism of Gadot due to Yamal's political views related to Israel. Gadot's mother intervened, clarifying that the image was fake.

The image was created using AI technology and contained clear errors, such as the name "Gal Gadot" written incorrectly on the back of the stadium seat, a telltale sign of AI manipulation. Additional inconsistencies included fans around Gadot wearing Italian national team jerseys instead of Spain's, and the scoreboard displaying two Spain flags instead of Spain and Argentina. Despite these flaws, the post gained exceptional viral traction, amassing over 265,000 likes before being debunked.
