Rabbi Dov Kook's Son Updates on Father's Critical Condition After Two Months Bedridden

Gadaliah Kook, son of Rabbi Dov Kook, provided an update on his father's health during an interview on the Kol Chai radio program "Hafuch Al Hafuch" on Monday. Rabbi Kook has been bedridden for over two months with a condition described as very severe, though there have been some minor signs of improvement. Gadaliah noted that his father has managed to swallow small amounts of water independently and even nodded when visited by a leading rabbinic figure, shedding tears during the encounter.

Despite these moments, Rabbi Kook remains mostly immobile and unresponsive physically. He reacts to hearing Torah teachings and has attempted to speak several times, moving his mouth as if trying to say something, but no sound has come out. Gadaliah described his father's physical suffering as intense, with burning eyes, stiff muscles, and extreme difficulty moving.

While the situation is grave, the family holds onto small miracles and hopes for recovery. Gadaliah concluded by appealing to the public to continue praying for Rabbi Kook's full healing, referring to him by his full name, Rabbi Hezkiyahu Dov ben Shoshana.
