Father of Nine Dies Suddenly During Family Outing in Ramat Gan Park

Eliyahu Israel Aba Shaul, a 59-year-old resident of Bnei Brak and father of nine, tragically passed away from cardiac arrest during a family outing in a municipal park in Ramat Gan. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday when family members noticed his absence and reported it. This prompted a search operation led by volunteers from the ZAKA Tel Aviv missing persons unit, who established a command post and conducted extensive searches.

Aba Shaul was found unconscious in Wadi Kfar Park (Gan Yedidya) on Hatefutzot Street in Ramat Gan. Medical teams arrived promptly but were forced to declare him dead at the scene. ZAKA volunteers worked alongside police and forensic investigators, and his body was subsequently transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine.

Aba Shaul was part of a well-known and longstanding family from Jerusalem and was the brother of a prominent former yeshiva head. In recent years, he had been studying within a community framework in Tel Aviv. He is survived by his wife and nine children, four of whom are unmarried.
