MK Hili Tropper Rules Out Coalition with Mansour Abbas, Citing Non-Zionist Stance
MK Hili Tropper of the Yisodot Yisrael party spoke on Galei Tzahal radio about the upcoming formation of Israel's 26th Knesset government amid the recent parliamentary dissolution and elections. When asked about the possibility of including the Arab party Ra'am, led by Mansour Abbas, in the coalition, Tropper drew a clear boundary. He emphasized the need for a Zionist majority to make critical decisions in the country, stating, "At this time, the State of Israel needs a Zionist government." Tropper elaborated that the political leadership must be based on Zionist votes, especially when forming the government. He directly addressed Mansour Abbas and Ra'am's identity, highlighting the ideological divide by saying, "I assume Mansour Abbas does not define himself as Zionist."
