ExPENG L03 Compact Premium SUV Launches in Europe with Advanced Features
ExPENG has introduced its new compact premium SUV, the L03, to the European market. Positioned below the popular G6 model, the L03 belongs to the Mona sub-brand aimed at making ExPENG vehicles more accessible, yet it retains high-end features and design. The L03 features a coupe-style SUV design with a distinctive front end, aerodynamic elements including a drag coefficient of 0.228 Cd, and dimensions placing it in the C-SUV category. It measures 4.65 meters in length, 1.92 meters in width, and 1.60 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.85 meters and a cargo capacity of 539 liters, plus a 102-liter front trunk in the rear-wheel-drive version. The vehicle weighs 1,970 kg and has a tight turning radius of 10.5 meters.
Inside, the L03 offers a premium cabin with synthetic leather upholstery, suede-lined ceiling and pillars, and a microfiber steering wheel. The dashboard includes an 8.88-inch instrument cluster, a 26.8-inch head-up display, and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen with Google navigation and smartphone connectivity. Comfort features include heated and ventilated seats with 14-point massage functions, a large panoramic sunroof with heat insulation, and extensive storage options. Safety is comprehensive, with seven airbags, including a central airbag, and advanced driver assistance systems such as cross-traffic alerts, blind-spot warnings, collision prevention, driver monitoring, and child presence sensors.
The L03 is available with two powertrain options, both supporting vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology. The fully electric base rear-wheel-drive model delivers 245 horsepower, accelerating to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, powered by a 58.3 kWh LFP battery offering a 445 km range. Charging times include 6 hours 48 minutes for home charging at 11 kW and 20 minutes for fast charging at 193 kW (10%-80%). The Long Range (LR) version has a 71.2 kWh battery, 530 km range, faster 236 kW charging, and accelerates 0.9 seconds quicker. The Performance all-wheel-drive variant produces 387 horsepower, accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and has a 440 km range.
Additionally, a plug-in hybrid range extender version combines a 1.5-liter 75 hp engine acting as a generator with a 245 hp electric motor. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, has a 37.25 kWh battery for 215 km electric range, and a 42-liter fuel tank extending total range to 1,017 km. Charging supports 123 kW fast charging and 6.6 kW home charging.
The L03's arrival in Europe marks ExPENG's expansion with a compact premium SUV that balances accessibility with advanced technology and luxury. It remains unclear if the model will be introduced in Israel.
