ExPENG L03 Compact Premium SUV Launches in Europe with Advanced Features
ExPENG has introduced its new compact premium SUV, the L03, to the European market. Positioned below the popular G6 model, the L03 belongs to the Mona sub-brand aimed at making ExPENG vehicles more accessible, though the company has maintained high standards in design and technology. The L03 features a coupe-like SUV design with distinct arrowhead headlights, active lower grille, and aerodynamic elements including frameless doors and recessed handles, achieving an impressive drag coefficient of 0.228 Cd. It measures 4.65 meters in length, 1.92 meters in width, and 1.60 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.85 meters and a trunk capacity of 539 liters plus a 102-liter front trunk in rear-wheel-drive versions. The vehicle weighs 1,970 kg and has a tight turning radius of 10.5 meters.
Inside, the L03 offers a premium cabin with synthetic leather upholstery, suede-lined roof and pillars, and a microfiber steering wheel. The dashboard includes an 8.88-inch instrument cluster, a 26.8-inch head-up display, and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen with Google navigation and smartphone connectivity. The SUV is equipped with extensive features such as 360-degree cameras, heated and ventilated seats with 14-point massage functions, a large panoramic sunroof with heat insulation, and advanced storage solutions. Safety systems include seven airbags, a central airbag, multiple collision avoidance technologies, driver monitoring, and child presence sensors.
The L03 is available with two powertrain options, both supporting vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology. The fully electric base rear-wheel-drive model delivers 245 horsepower, accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, and offers a 445 km range on a 58.3 kWh LFP battery. The Long Range version increases battery capacity to 71.2 kWh for a 530 km range and faster charging. The Performance all-wheel-drive variant produces 387 horsepower, accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and has a 440 km range. Additionally, a plug-in hybrid variant combines a 1.5-liter 75 hp engine acting as a generator with a 245 hp electric motor, achieving 6.8 seconds to 100 km/h, a 215 km electric range, and a total range of 1,017 km with a 42-liter fuel tank. Charging times vary from about 6.5 to 8 hours for home charging and 20 minutes for fast charging.
ExPENG’s L03 aims to offer a premium compact SUV experience with advanced technology and competitive electric and hybrid powertrains. It remains to be seen if the model will be introduced in Israel.
