Two Florida School Principals Arrested for DUI Twice in Same Vehicle Within Hours
Two school principals in Florida were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on the same night, less than three hours apart, while both were in the same vehicle. Around 2:00 a.m., police noticed a white Jeep swerving between lanes and mounting the curb. The driver, Jennifer Jimenez, 41, principal of Pinecrest Lakes Academy, admitted to drinking alcohol but refused sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. Christina Alcalde, 45, principal of Pinecrest Academy Tavares, was a passenger at the time and appeared intoxicated, but since she was not driving, she was given a ride home and the vehicle was parked nearby.
However, less than three hours later, Alcalde was reported driving the same Jeep. Police stopped her again after observing erratic driving and sudden braking. Body camera footage captured her insisting, "I feel much better. I'm not trying to do anything wrong," and "I promise I'm not drunk." The officer reminded her, "Just a few hours ago I spoke with you, you were very drunk." After failing field sobriety tests and refusing an alcohol test, Alcalde was also arrested for DUI. Both women were taken to Lake County Jail and later released on bail.
