Florida Woman Arrested After Cocaine Bag Falls From Her Body During Jail Search
Reagan Cox, a 30-year-old woman from Brevard County, Florida, was arrested on June 27 after resisting police during a traffic stop. The situation took an unusual turn when, during a body search at the county jail, a small bag containing nearly 4 grams of cocaine fell from her lower body area. Authorities reported that Cox claimed she was unaware of the bag's presence and suggested it might have been left there during a prior intimate encounter. Despite her explanation, she was charged with possession of a controlled substance within a detention facility, a serious offense. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office publicly mocked her excuse, calling it more embarrassing than the common "not my pants" defense and emphasizing the incident as a cautionary tale against drug involvement. Cox was released the same day, and it remains unclear if she has responded to the charges or obtained legal representation.
