Bar Timor Negotiates New Contract to Stay with Hapoel Tel Aviv Until 2029
Bar Timor, captain of Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball team, is currently in negotiations for a new contract that could keep him with the club until the summer of 2029. Despite interest from other teams such as Hapoel HaEmek during the current summer transfer window, Hapoel Tel Aviv is working to secure Timor's continued presence. The new contract is not expected to be signed before the end of the Jewish fast day Tisha B'Av.
In the past season, which marked Timor's seventh with the club, he played in 22 games, averaging 22 minutes per game, scoring 8.6 points and providing 4.1 assists. Alongside Timor, the club is also making efforts to retain another key Israeli player, Tomer Ginat, with both sides reportedly close to agreeing on a four-year contract extension.
These developments come as Hapoel Tel Aviv aims to maintain a strong core of Israeli talent in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, ensuring stability and leadership within the team for the coming years.
