Bar Timor Negotiates New Contract to Stay with Hapoel Tel Aviv Until 2029
Bar Timor, captain of Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball team, is currently in negotiations for a new contract that could keep him at the club until the summer of 2029. Despite interest from other teams, including Hapoel Emek, Timor's future with the Tel Aviv club is becoming clearer as talks progress. However, no new contract will be signed before the end of the Jewish fast day Tisha B'Av.
In the recently concluded season, Timor played his seventh year with Hapoel Tel Aviv, appearing in 22 games and averaging 22 minutes per game. He contributed 8.6 points and 4.1 assists per game. Alongside Timor, the club is also working to retain another key Israeli player, Tomer Ginat. Reports indicate that both parties are close to agreeing on a new four-year contract extension for Ginat as well.
These developments come as Hapoel Tel Aviv aims to maintain a strong core of Israeli players in the top-tier Israeli Basketball Premier League. The club's efforts to secure long-term contracts for its leaders reflect its strategy to build stability and competitiveness for upcoming seasons.
