Israeli Basketball Association Appoints Four New Disciplinary Court Judges in Reform Drive
The Israeli Basketball Association continues its reform of the disciplinary courts by appointing four new judges, replacing the outgoing panel. This move is part of a professional and phased renewal process led by Association Chairman Amos Frishman and Supreme Court President Professor Oded Modrik, aimed at enhancing the disciplinary system.
After many years of voluntary service, the previous judges, Advocates Tagar Amiel, Tzvika Roizen, Eli Levin, and Ezra Hausner, have concluded their terms. The new judges, Advocates Gadi Zilberberg, Lior Boner, Amir Pava, and Yishai Zilberberg, have completed an extensive handover period alongside their predecessors to ensure knowledge transfer, professional continuity, and the independent functioning of the court.
This appointment complements other recent changes under Frishman’s leadership, including shifting some disciplinary hearings to Zoom and amending the association’s regulations. Frishman expressed deep appreciation for the outgoing judges’ dedication and professionalism and wished the new judges success, emphasizing their role in upholding fairness and sportsmanship in Israeli basketball.
