Student Confronts Man Filming Women and Girls at Ben-Gurion University Pool
Hadar Negaoker, a student at Ben-Gurion University, identified and recorded an older man systematically filming women and girls in swimsuits at the university pool. After documenting his actions, she confronted him directly, asking sharply, "Why are you filming her butt?" The man appeared surprised, and Negaoker informed him that she had video evidence. Following the incident, she filed a police complaint.
In an interview on the program "HaOlam HaBoker," Negaoker explained that her suspicion arose after observing the man’s consistent behavior. She described it as if he was "choosing a victim," noting that he focused his camera on specific body parts of women. The decisive moment came when she saw him filming young girls, including a group of two mothers with three small daughters. This prompted her to start recording.
Ben-Gurion University responded by acknowledging the seriousness of the incident but clarified that university security lacks authority to detain or investigate non-students or non-employees, as this jurisdiction belongs solely to the police. The university advised complainants to report such matters to law enforcement.
The case is now under police investigation following Negaoker’s formal complaint, highlighting concerns about privacy and safety at the university pool.
