Israeli Content Creator Attempts to Visit 17 Springs in One Day, Reaches 11 Amid Challenges
Kobi Peled, known as "Kuku Trip," set out on a demanding challenge to visit and bathe in 17 natural springs in northern Israel within a single day. Starting at 5 a.m., Peled planned a route covering approximately 670 kilometers by car, aiming to spend eight minutes at each spring. The challenge was inspired by his temporary inability to run due to a leg injury sustained during military service, prompting him to seek a new physical and mental goal.
The journey began at Ein Tur'an in the Lower Galilee, a spring located inside a cave with stunning blue waters, but Peled and his companion decided not to enter due to bird droppings. The itinerary quickly proved more difficult than anticipated, with long walks, navigation errors, and unexpected obstacles delaying their progress. For example, at Ein Dvir, they faced a one-kilometer trek through thorny terrain, extending their planned stop from eight to thirty minutes.
Other springs such as Bor Keren near Ayelet Hashahar also caused delays due to wrong entrances and dense undergrowth. Peled and his friend shortened their stops at some springs, including Einot Einan, Ein HaDayag, and Ein Tao, to save time. Despite their efforts, by midday it became clear they could not complete all 17 springs as planned. They skipped some locations, including Kfar Bloom, to prioritize others.
One highlight was Bor Eliyahu, described by Peled as the masterpiece of the day, with striking turquoise waters surrounded by fields and thorns. Although there is some local dispute about its status, Peled enjoyed a brief swim and drone footage there. The final stop was the Pool of Columns, where high water levels and safety concerns limited their time.
The challenge ended around 2 p.m. with 11 springs visited and many lessons learned. Peled acknowledged the difficulty of balancing driving, walking, changing clothes, and filming. Despite not reaching his original goal, he remains motivated and already contemplates improvements for a future attempt.
