Travel Blogger Highlights Jerusalem's Top Springs with Live Water Dive
Travel blogger Emanuel Benjamin appeared live on Channel 14's "Israel Morning" program on Sunday to showcase some of the most beautiful springs in the Jerusalem hills. Broadcasting from the clear waters of Ein Uzi spring, Benjamin introduced viewers to this scenic spot overlooking the opening of the Sorek Stream, describing it as one of the most stunning springs in Israel. The segment was hosted by Tal Meir, who expressed admiration for the lush landscape visible behind the spring.
Benjamin explained that Ein Uzi is relatively accessible, located about a 10 to 15-minute walk from the nearby parking lot close to Even Sapir and Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. He also mentioned other notable springs in the Jerusalem area, such as Estaf, Lifta, and Bor Eitan, noting that these springs are currently in good condition but advising viewers to check the latest status before visiting.
Discussing trail difficulty, Benjamin highlighted that some springs, like Bor Eitan, require advanced skills due to steep descents involving ropes. He recommended families with children opt for more organized day-use parks in the Aminadav Forest and Hurvat Sa'adim areas. At Estaf spring, he pointed out a unique cave that children can crawl through, adding a special element to the hike.
Concluding the live segment, Benjamin entered the spring's water and emphasized safety, urging hikers to watch over themselves and their children, reminding viewers that the terrain can be hazardous. Tal Meir ended the segment with a lighthearted wish for him to enjoy the swim.
