Teacher in North Tel Aviv Arrested for Sexual Offenses Against 12-Year-Old Student

A mathematics teacher in a school in northern Tel Aviv was arrested on suspicion of committing sexual offenses against a 12-year-old female student. The teacher, a man in his twenties from Lod, was taken into custody on the evening of July 15 following an investigation that had been ongoing for several days. The relationship between the teacher and the student reportedly developed and intensified after they initially met in the classroom.

After his arrest, the teacher was interrogated at the Tel Aviv North police station, where he provided his version of events and admitted to involvement in some of the incidents under investigation. The police continue to examine the details of the case. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court later on July 16 for a hearing regarding the extension of his detention.
