M.S. Ashdod is actively pursuing the signing of experienced Israeli Premier League player Matan Hozez as part of its efforts to return to the top division after just one season in the second tier. Following the recent acquisition of Dor Micha, the club from the port city is pressing Hozez, who is currently evaluating several options within the Premier League. Last season, Hozez scored three goals and provided two assists for Hapoel Jerusalem, where he also served as captain in a match against Hapoel Petah Tikva. With over 200 appearances in the Israeli Premier League, Hozez is considered one of the league's most seasoned players. Ashdod has also signed other key players such as Roy Gordana and Ran Atori, aiming to build one of the strongest squads in the Liga Leumit in recent years.
