MS Ashdod Explores Hiring Beitar Jerusalem Assistant Coach Moshe Ohayon
Moshe Ohayon, the assistant coach of Beitar Jerusalem, is reportedly being considered by M.S. Ashdod for a coaching role. Ohayon, who was a candidate to replace Yitzhaki as head coach of Beitar this summer, is highly valued in Ashdod, where he previously played and coached. Despite Ashdod's interest, Beitar Jerusalem intends to retain Ohayon, who is expected to continue with the team. Ashdod is also contemplating adding another staff member alongside Nir Biton and Guy Weisinger to help the club achieve its goal of returning to the Israeli Premier League. Ohayon, 42, was appointed assistant coach at Beitar in February 2024 alongside Gal Cohen. He has prior experience as an assistant to Ran Ben Shimon in Ashdod and played one season for Beitar Jerusalem during the 2008/09 season.
