Crime Boss Yossi Mosli Arrested Amid Escalating Grenade Attacks on Jafnika Stores
Yossi Mosli, head of a crime organization, was arrested following a series of grenade attacks targeting branches of the Jafnika chain, owned by Barak Abramov, linked to a feud with the Jerushi family. On Monday, Tel Aviv police investigators visited Mosli's home, brought him to the station for a warning conversation, and urged him to calm the situation before releasing him. Mosli recounted that officers told him to "take 3-4 days to calm things down or face aggressive measures," but he denied involvement, stating he could not control the violence.
The attacks continued, including a shooting at a Herzliya branch, prompting police to return with a search warrant and arrest Mosli on Tuesday. During interrogation, Mosli claimed he was at home during the incidents and invited investigators to verify his alibi. The court extended his detention by five days as the investigation progresses. A source familiar with the case told Kan News that significant arrests are expected soon.
The conflict centers on a dispute between Mosli's organization and the Jerushi family, who operate nine of the damaged Jafnika franchises under Abramov's franchise rights. Prior to the Herzliya shooting, a senior Jerushi figure visited the branch to instruct employees, reportedly appearing agitated and shouting at staff. The ongoing violence underscores a deepening gang rivalry impacting public safety in the region.
