Students from Tifrach and the Hesder yeshiva in Kiryat Gat were assigned to the Givati Brigade. Har Etzion yeshiva students were placed in the Nahal Brigade, and students from Nir, Har Etzion, and Orot Shaul yeshivot were assigned to the Golani Brigade.
