Jerusalem Man Arrested After Stealing Cash from Store Register and Fleeing on Scooter
A 30-year-old Jerusalem resident was arrested shortly after allegedly stealing cash from a store register in Jerusalem. The incident occurred on Tuesday when the suspect took advantage of a momentary lapse in attention by the store employees to grab money from the cash register and escape on an electric scooter. Exclusive footage shows the suspect fleeing while employees chase after him.
Police from the Moriah station in the Jerusalem district responded quickly, collecting evidence and witness statements before launching a wide search for the suspect. He was located and detained soon after the robbery and taken in for questioning.
The suspect was brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, where his detention was extended until July 16, 2026. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
