Chef Assaf Vered Showcases Signature Dishes at Loulou47 in Tel Aviv
Chef Assaf Vered, known from the show "Married at First Sight," is currently the sous-chef at Loulou47, a trendy bar-restaurant located on Nachalat Binyamin Street in Tel Aviv. The venue, opened two years ago by the Sfikiazi group, is led by head chef Ruslan Oslov, with Vered playing a key culinary role. After seeing Vered prepare a meal for Niv Argov on the show and hearing about his Michelin star aspirations, curiosity about his cooking grew, culminating in the discovery of his work at Loulou47.
Loulou47 offers a diverse menu blending popular social media-inspired dishes with unique creations. Highlights include the Stone Blumental fries served with truffle aioli (42 NIS), a 100-layer cabbage yakitori on scorched garlic sauce (48 NIS), and grilled corn with polenta velvet, roasted pepper, and Parmesan (62 NIS). The menu also features classic dishes such as Caesar salad (68 NIS), fish cigars with tzatziki (68 NIS), fish ceviche (78 NIS), tuna tartare (82 NIS), and an unusual tuna sashimi with orange slices and Greek vinaigrette (86 NIS).
For main courses, Loulou47 serves pomodoro pasta (78 NIS), chestnut risotto (84 NIS), langoustine shrimp (92 NIS), chicken skewer (87 NIS), a burger (76 NIS), beef fillet skewer with potato gratin (126 NIS), and sirloin with pepper cream sauce (182 NIS). The sirloin was particularly praised, though the appetizers and salads are also highly recommended. The restaurant operates daily from 6 p.m. and is not kosher.
