Prime Minister Netanyahu Offers Tamir Schneid Role as Government Spokesperson

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has offered Tamir Schneid, a journalist and panelist on the show "The Patriots," the position of Prime Minister's spokesperson, according to a report by Walla on Tuesday evening. The offer came after Schneid interviewed for the role last week. Schneid joined Channel 14 in January as a special affairs and investigative reporter and previously served as spokesperson for former Minister of Strategic Affairs Galit Distel Atbaryan. Prior to that, he worked in public relations and media consulting.

The position of Prime Minister's spokesperson has been vacant since Dr. Omer Dostri was dismissed in July 2025. Since then, the Prime Minister's communication team has operated without a permanent spokesperson, relying on a group of advisors and additional spokespeople. No official response was received from Tamir Schneid or Channel 14 regarding the offer.
