Netanyahu Offers Former Government Spokesperson Tamir Schneid Role as Prime Minister's Spokesperson
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has offered the position of Prime Minister's spokesperson to Tamir Schneid, a journalist and panelist on the Patriotim show and a reporter for Channel 14 news, according to two sources cited by Walla on Tuesday. Schneid interviewed for the role last week. He joined Channel 14 in January as a special affairs and investigative reporter. Prior to that, Schneid served as spokesperson for former Minister of Strategic Affairs Galit Distel Atbaryan during her tenure and has experience in communications consulting and spokesperson roles.
The position of Prime Minister's spokesperson has been vacant since the dismissal of Dr. Omer Dostri in July 2025. Since then, the Prime Minister's media team has operated without a permanent spokesperson, relying on advisors and other spokespeople. No official response was provided by Tamir Schneid's representatives regarding the offer.
