Asaf Granit and Asaf Rappaport Resolve Dispute Over Jonathan Roshfeld Joining MasterChef Israel
Following a public disagreement revealed on Monday about Asaf Granit's opposition to Jonathan Roshfeld joining the reality cooking show MasterChef Israel, the conflict has been resolved. Roshfeld will join the show as planned, aligning with the wishes of Asaf Rappaport, the prospective owner of Channel 13. Over the past day, intensive discussions took place with Granit to secure his agreement to Roshfeld's addition. After a lengthy conversation between Granit and Rappaport, they reached an understanding on how the collaboration would proceed, satisfying all parties involved.
It is important to note that the Second Authority for Television and Radio has not yet approved Rappaport's acquisition of Channel 13, meaning he is not officially the channel's owner and his involvement exceeds current regulatory guidelines. Previously, Granit's resistance to Roshfeld's inclusion threatened to delay the start of filming the new season, but now production is expected to begin on schedule at the end of this month.
With Roshfeld joining, the judging panel will be almost entirely new, featuring Granit, who has been a judge for 12 years, newcomer Roshfeld, and chef Guy Gamzo. Chef Yossi Shitrit has moved to MasterChef, and it was recently decided that Moshe Rot will also depart. Granit commented, "I am doing the best I can for the show and the talented team who have been preparing for filming for eight months."
