Asaf Granit Opposes Yonatan Roshfeld Joining 'Chef Games,' Threatening Production Delay

A serious crisis has erupted on the Israeli cooking show "Chef Games" following the replacement of judge Moshe Rott and the planned addition of Yonatan Roshfeld to the judging panel. According to ynet, this change has created chaos among the judges, disrupting the production's ability to proceed under the new format. Asaf Granit, the show's senior and veteran judge, has openly opposed these recent moves and engaged in direct discussions with the prospective owner Asaf Rappaport, who has been involved in the decisions. Granit expressed his dissatisfaction, but Rappaport rejected his stance and continued with Roshfeld's inclusion.

Roshfeld previously appeared on the rival show "MasterChef" but left amid a strained working relationship on set. During a recent preparation day attended by new judges Guy Gamzo and Yonatan Roshfeld, along with host Miri Bohadana and the show's editor, it became clear that the conflict was deeper than initially thought. Granit was absent from this session due to being abroad.

A production source revealed that the turmoil at the judges' table and the resulting chaos could delay filming scheduled to start at the end of the month. The source described the atmosphere during the preparation day as "tense" and stated, "Things cannot continue like this. There is too much opposition to the new changes." Granit responded, "The situation is complex, the show means a lot to me, and I want to do the best for it and for Reshet, which is my home." Channel 13 did not provide a comment, and Roshfeld's response was not available.
