Israeli Team Wins Gold and Four Silver Medals at International Physics Olympiad in Colombia
The Israeli team achieved significant success at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) held in Colombia, securing one gold and four silver medals. Ruth Kozlovsky, a 10th-grade student competing for the first time, won the gold medal. The competition featured 437 participants from 95 countries worldwide. The Olympiad spanned two days, including a practical laboratory day focused on thermodynamics experiments and a theoretical exam day covering topics such as optics, particle physics, and nuclear physics. The four silver medalists from Israel were Noam Pleisig, Eitan Rotman, Achia Kelner, and Elad Agmon.
