Roi Cohen Returns as Professional Manager of Hapoel Nof HaGalil After Failed Bargain with Barakovic
Following the collapse of negotiations with Eyal Barakovic, the municipality of Nof HaGalil decided to reinstate Roi Cohen, a local resident, as the professional manager of Hapoel Nof HaGalil. Cohen previously held this position during the club's promotion season to the Israeli Premier League. In recent years, he served as professional manager at several clubs including Adumim Ashdod, Hapoel Kfar Saba, and Kafr Qasim, where he was replaced by Ismail Amar at the end of the season.
After talks with Barakovic broke down, Cohen met extensively with Nof HaGalil's mayor, Ronen Plot, resulting in Cohen's return to oversee the club's professional affairs. It was clarified that Gil Baram will continue as the administrative manager for now, while Cohen will focus on the club's sporting management. This marks Cohen's return home after a period of managing various second-tier clubs, having received the mandate directly from the mayor.
