Roi Cohen Returns as Professional Manager of Hapoel Nof HaGalil After Failed Bargain with Barakovic
Following the collapse of negotiations with Eyal Barakovic, the municipality of Nof HaGalil decided to reinstate Roi Cohen, a local resident, as the professional manager of Hapoel Nof HaGalil football club. Cohen previously held this role during the club's promotion season to the Israeli Premier League and has since worked as a professional manager at clubs including Adumim Ashdod, Hapoel Kfar Saba, and Kafr Qasim, where he was replaced by Ismail Amar at the end of the season.
After talks with Barakovic broke down, Cohen met for an extended discussion with Nof HaGalil's mayor, Ronen Plot, resulting in his return to the club's professional management. It was clarified that Gil Baram will continue as the administrative manager for now, while Cohen will oversee the club's professional affairs. This marks Cohen's return to his hometown club after several years managing teams in the Israeli National League, with the mayor granting him the mandate to lead the club's sporting direction.
